Ministry of Labor launched courses at the Chacarita Community Center

The Minister of Labor, Carla Bacigalupo, visited the Chacarita Community Center, in the Ricardo Brugada neighborhood of Asunción, where she launched two other new courses within the framework of the project called “Chacarita Crece”.

After the training several people have managed to materialize their enterprises in the garment manufacturing area and have a guaranteed market for their products.

The objective of this “Grow” project is to promote new jobs and improve the quality of life through the continuous training of the residents, who are considered more vulnerable. To date, 460 people, especially women, have benefited from the different courses of various specialties for quick employment and advice on entrepreneurship in Chacarita.

Among the courses already completed are Management of industrial machines, Molding, Clothing manufacturing and Industrial sewing with an emphasis on linen, the latter being developed. Two courses began today in the afternoon, in face-to-face mode and they are Occupational Health and Safety Assistant with 16 enrolled and Decorative Fabricator Artisan with 37 students.

This Saturday, September 24, at 7:00 p.m., a fashion show will be held with models from the Ricardo Giménez agency, as reported. For this purpose, some of the seamstresses who were trained by the National Professional Promotion Service (SNPP) are making the outfits that will be part of the collection that the models will exhibit.

The “Grow” project has a term of 3 years of execution and is implemented in three areas of Asunción, in addition to Chacarita (Ricardo Brugada neighborhood), the Ministry of Labor carries it out in the San Francisco neighborhood and in Bañado Sur. It contemplates training in different areas, as well as advice for the concretion of businesses and generation of opportunities for insertion in the labor market of the graduates. Among the courses that are developed there are also masonry, electricity, computing, handling of heavy machines through simulators, welding, plumbing, gastronomy and several others.

The courses are taught by the training entities of the MTESS, the National Service for Professional Promotion (SNPP), the National System of Labor Training and Training (Sinafocal) and the Entrepreneur Training Center (CEE), the latter entity develops courses of Branding, commercial image and enhancement, creation of logos, cost of production, personal finance, among others. Since the “Grow” project was implemented, more than 1,200 people have benefited from the training.
