Ministry of Labor asked to prioritize teleworking due to the strike of transporters this Wednesday, October 23

The Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion urged employers to take flexible measures due to the difficulties that workers may have when traveling to their workplaces this Wednesday, October 23, in view of the transport strike.

Through a statement, the MTPE asks to prioritize teleworking in order to safeguard the integrity of workers.

They also indicated that people who are affected by lack of public transportation have a four-hour tolerance in their entry time.

“Adopt flexible measures that make it possible to compensate for delays resulting from setbacks in the transfer of workers who go to their work centers, according to their particular circumstances, and must allow workers entry to carry out their work,” it reads. in the statement.

In this sense, they highlighted that the delay time will be subject to subsequent compensation and that it cannot be considered as unjustified delay that is subject to disciplinary sanctions.
