The Ministry of Justice ordered the suspension of the film How to become the worst student in school on platforms streaming.
According to an order from the National Consumer Bureau published today (15) on Official Diary of the Unionif “the availability, exhibition and offer” of the film are not interrupted within five days, a daily fine of R$ 50 thousand must be applied.
According to the decision, signed by the director of the Department of Consumer Protection and Defense, Lilian Brandão, the measure was taken “with a view to the necessary protection of child and adolescent consumerists”.
Inspired by a book by comedian and presenter Danilo Gentili, who also stars in the film, the 2017 feature is accused of making an apology for pedophilia. The story revolves around two teenagers, played by actors Bruno Munhoz and Daniel Pimentel, who find a diary with “tips” on how to become “the worst student in school”.
An excerpt from the film that circulated yesterday (14) on social media generated controversy, especially when the inspector, played by Fábio Porchat, suggests a sexual act on the part of the boys.
The Minister of Justice and Public Security, Anderson Torres, who had already spoken about the controversy saying that he had asked “various sectors” of the portfolio to adopt the appropriate measures, shared the decision on his social networks this Tuesday.
The post received support from other members of the federal government, such as the Secretary of Culture, Mário Frias, and Minister Damares Alves, who heads the Secretariat for Women, Family and Human Rights.

Yesterday, Gentili defended himself against the accusations. Through his advice, he stressed that the film is a work of fiction.
“Usually, the movie has the good guy and the bad guy. The villain is a bad character. That does horrible things. The villain can be a Nazi, a racist, a pedophile, an aggressor, he can kill and torture people… Marlon Brando played the role of an Italian mobster who had people murdered. Renata Sorah stole a child from the maternity ward and was pushing people down the stairs. Regiane Alves mistreated the elderly. But it was all a lie, okay, people?”, he joked.
