He Ministry of Health asset yellow alert in all health establishments in the country before the celebrations of Christmas and New Year. The provision seeks to strengthen the response capacity against possible medical emergencies during the holidays.
The Ministerial Resolution No. 935-2025/MINSA published in the Official Gazette El Peruano came into force from 00:00 this Saturday, December 20, and will extend until 00:00 on January 5, 2026.
Scope of the measure
The yellow alert is declared due to the imminent or high probability of adverse or destructive events. Health establishments must carry out preparedness actions for self-protection and assistance to the population.
This measure implies the immediate mobilization of human and material resources in hospitals, posts and health centers nationwide. Priority is given to attention to traumatic emergencies, poisonings and acute pathologies expected at parties.
The General Directorate of Disaster Risk Management and National Health Defense (DIGERD) will coordinate, supervise and evaluate compliance with the provision. Will work in conjunction with Regional Health Directorates, Integrated Network Directorates and Regional Managements.
The standard establishes unified protocols to guarantee immediate response to increases in demand during mass celebrations. All levels of healthcare will elevate their operational readiness.
