It says it was facilitated by the Directorate of Epidemiology (Diepi) of the Ministry of Health with the technical assistance of Expertise France and the Research Institute for Development (IRD).
This training is part of “Strengthening the resilience of health and social protection systems in the Dominican Republic”, financed by the European Union and the French Development Agency.
Indicates that it includes actions to strengthen the capacities of Diepi for the implementation of the approach One Healthan initiative stimulated by the World Health Organization, with the purpose of stimulating the unified work of organisms and specialists in the health of people, animals and ecosystems.
“To improve the Dominican Republic’s response capacity to health crises, it is essential to strengthen its surveillance system to detect and respond to epidemic situations early. This is achieved with harmonious work by the main organizations involved,” the text says.
