A total of 199 brands operated by 95 betting companies are authorized to continue operating in the country. The Ministry of Finance released on Tuesday night (1st) the list of virtual betting houses that requested authorization until September 30th and complied with the legal requirements to remain in operation.
In total, there are 193 brands from 89 companies that continue to operate nationwide. There are still six brands from six companies authorized to operate at the state level: five in Paraná and one in Maranhão.
The number of state companies may increase in the coming hours, if more states and the Federal District send the bets authorized to operate locally to the Ministry of Finance.

The number of authorized companies is smaller than the number of orders. According to the Betting Management System (Sigap) from the Ministry of Finance, 180 companies presented 185 requests, of which 31 were filed on Monday (30).
The difference occurred because many companies were unable to meet all the requirements, such as presenting all the required documents or proving technical capacity.
Sigap provides the company’s registered name, not the website’s trademark, which often makes it difficult to consult legal websites.
Until October 10, websites that did not request authorization will remain online. This is because the government granted a period of ten days for bettors to withdraw their money from these pages.
From October 11th, the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) will block illegal pages. According to the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, even 600 pages will have access taken down.
Legalized companies
The list released this evening is the positive list of legalized companies. Based on this list, the user can ask companies that are not part of the relationship to return the money deposited on the sites.
Minister Fernando Haddad asked the Prizes and Betting Secretariat to anticipate the release from the negative list, from companies rejected. According to the minister, this list takes longer because it is necessary to explain the legal arguments that led to the refusal of operating authorization.
