Tampico, Tamps., The Ministry of Energy (Sener), in collaboration with the government of Tamaulipas, held yesterday a consultation forum on the needs derived from the energy issue, in order to prepare the National Development Plan (PND) 2025-2030 , in which 461 proposals were presented (338 online and 123 in person) from 710 specialists from 15 states of the Republic, related to energy development from the perspective of well-being social and sustainability.
Luz Elena González Escobar, head of the Sener, accompanied by the governor of Tamaulipas, Américo Villarreal Anaya, and the mayor of Tampico, Mónica Villarreal Anaya, opened the space for open and plural dialogue, where the social, business and academic sectors contributed proposals in working groups that, together with the government, contribute to energy sovereignty for the benefit of all.
Participants from the academic, business, social, union and different levels of government sectors, coming from 15 states in the center, north and southeast of the country, contributed clear ideas about Mexico’s energy future that will serve for democratic and deliberative planning. .
In the opening plenary session, González Escobar highlighted that the forum in Tamaulipas had as its objective listen and build together an energy base for the nation that is fair, sovereign and sustainable, and that promotes social justice

In his message, he highlighted that the public consultation It gives us the opportunity to clarify our vision and diagnosis; listen to the problems, proposals and aspirations in the energy sector related to development, equity, energy transition, the electrical system, hydrocarbons, petrochemicals and clean energies, among others
.
Likewise, Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya affirmed that Tamaulipas continues to be a national reference in the energy sector and that since its historical relevance 100 years ago, it will participate in the definitions proposed by the administration of President Claudia Sheinbaum. “We wish to be present with our contribution to the new energy policy, providing research, training of human resources and technological development for the best use of our energy potential and, of course, to reinforce its humanistic perspective,” he expressed.
At the conclusion of the forum, a general reading of the main proposals presented by the attendees was held, while representatives of the business, academic and social sectors took the floor to express their willingness and interest in collaborating with the federal government to promote the development of the country in a responsible and inclusive manner.
The conclusions obtained in this consultation forum will contribute to integrating the voices and opinions of the people of Mexico in the construction of the second floor of the Fourth Transformation.
