He Ministry of Education (minerd) presented the initiative called “Table of the five pillars“, a space for consultation made up of students, parents, teachers, civil society and public servants.
Its purpose is to enhance the quality of public education system pre-university through dialogue and the active participation of all sectors involved, reported the Minister of Education, Luis Miguel De Camps.
The table seeks to become a operating space for him dialogueconsultation, monitoring and coordination of educational policies, promoting accountability and transparency at all territorial levels, explains the entity through a press release.
During the event, De Camps highlighted that one of the central objectives of this initiative is to promote peaceful resolution of conflicts and minimize the impact of union or sectoral divergences, in order to guarantee compliance with the school calendar and schedule.
Permanent meetings
Meetings will be held regularly in the coming weeks, and the space will also include members of the Newspaper Society and representatives of media.
Josmil de Leonrepresenting the students, thanked the inclusion of the student voice at the work table, pointing out that their proposals reflect the feelings of the 18 Regional. He stressed that the active participation of each sector is key to transforming the educational system and strengthening the development of the country.

“The Table of the five pillars“is based on the General Education Law No. 66-97in the decrees and ordinances that regulate the teaching career and decentralization, as well as in the conclusions of the Report of the Educational Pact 2014-2024.
