This amount will also allow 1,600 new jobs to be sustained, as expressed by Luis Lozano, president of Toyota Mexico, in a meeting with Ebrard.
Toyota records an investment of 2,000 million dollars in its 22 years of presence in Mexico.
Lozano expressed that certainty and stability are fundamental pillars for the automotive industry to continue being a key driver of national development, generating more and better jobs, developing talent and moving orderly towards electrification and new mobility challenges.
For his part, Ebrard pointed out that the government of President Claudia Sheinbaum is committed to providing certainty and confidence to investors.
But at the same time, development with well-being in the country must be promoted through investment.
“We will continue working as you have asked us to do to attract more investment and generate quality jobs,” said Ebrard.
