Minister Vallejo says that “Chile has to worry more about criminal acts” in the face of the country’s security crisis

The government spokesperson, Camila Vallejo, referred to the current situation in the country regarding the situation of insecurity and crime, where in recent weeks there have been various violent and criminal acts.

in conversation with Radio Biobio, the Secretary of State affirmed that the country should worry more about acts of this nature. “I believe that Chile is a country that should be much more concerned about security issues than before,” she explained.

“I do not want to create a sense of alarm. I think that our country has to worry more and that is why we are worrying about criminal acts, organized crime and drug trafficking because they have increased,” he added.

In this sense, Vallejo indicated that Chile should pay special attention to these acts, in order to combat them and take the corresponding actions.

“In Chile, the problems associated with security have increased and this contrasts with the rates and perception around the economic issue. Regarding human security, it is a country that must worry about taking actions to combat delinquency, organized crime and bearing arms,” he concluded.
