Minister Sucre on national holidays and carnivals: “We have to go step by step, the world is still not out of the pandemic”

One of the festivals that Panamanians long for are the carnivals, while others wait for the national holidays to enjoy the musical bands or appreciate their children parade during those days, however, the health authorities have nothing defined about both festivities.

According to the Minister of Health, Luis Francisco Sucre, the epidemiology team has been discussing this, mainly the first thing that is the national holidays.

“We are going to wait first to present the strategy for the national holidays to the president, after he approves the national holidays, we will dedicate ourselves to observing and analyzing how we are doing in the national holidays and then presenting to the president how the carnivals could be developed” , he indicated.

Sucre emphasized that we are still in a pandemic. In turn, he considered that Panama is advancing very well as a team, and as a country we are doing well, “we have to go step by step, the world is still not out of the pandemic, we have to go calmly.”
