The former uniformed man was supposed to testify in Judge Rutherford’s office on March 3, although he requested the day before that it be at his home, he also did not show up.
That same day, the defense attorney filed an appeal to avoid Martínez’s arrest. Four days later, the Court Martial upheld the legal action that sought to force Rutherford to take the statement at his home. This decision was revoked this Monday, March 28.
With this ruling, Ricardo Martínez must testify before the visiting minister in his office without the company of his lawyer, Juan Carlos Manriquez.
