Minister Raúl Pérez Reyes: "There should no longer be AFP retreats"

After the publication of the Regulation of the Modernization Law of the Peruvian Pension System, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Raúl Pérez Reyes, said that an eighth should not be given Retirement of AFP funds.

“There should no longer be AFP retreats. The law no longer raises. What would have to happen is to consider a new law if you wanted an eighth retirement that we would observe, obviously,” said the official after his participation in the Congress Budget Commission.

It should be noted that the official recently highlighted the implementation of the regulation in which the minimum S/600 pension for Peruvians who contribute to the public or private system stands out.

“The State will ensure that all those who have a balance can receive that minimal pension,” said the official who at the time has indicated that almost 6.3 million affiliates have less than S/5,000 in their accounts.

The regulation also establishes universal affiliation since the age of 18 through a new mandatory affiliation scheme that will increase coverage and promote, from an early age, pension culture. To do this, the safe and transparent affiliation platform (PAST) is created, managed by the ONP, which will interconnect entities and affiliates in a single digital support.
