“Do not make the mistake of violating our national sovereignty, we are called to defend our homeland and we will be vigilant,” said Sector Vice President of Defense and Sovereignty G/J Vladimir Padrino López, in reference to the US military exercises that are going to be carried out in Trinidad and Tobago.
In that sense, he indicated that Trinidad and Tobago was a victim of the English empire, but is now a victim of North American colonialism, “because it lends its territory against the will of a people as a foreign military base, threatening the peace of the region and mocking that call that we made since 2014, by declaring ourselves a zone of peace.”
The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, affirmed this Monday that the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Kamla Persad-Bissessar, joined the war plans of the United States Government.
“She has believed the lies that Marco Rubio has sold her, that they can steal gas from Venezuelans to deliver it to Trinidad and Tobago,” he added.
