José Jerí continues without naming a ministerial cabinet
The President of the Republic, José Jeríwho took office after the dismissal of Dina Boluartecarry more than two days without swearing in their new ministers to carry out work in different sectors of the Peru. In this context, various experts have questioned whether the current head of state governs without ministers, something that goes against the Political Constitution.
Lawyer Emilio Noguerol, through his official account on “As the vacancy is even more lethal than the total cabinet crisis, both the president and his ministers are removed, who (de facto) perform administrative functions until another is appointed, avoiding acephaly, but they are not the new president’s ministers,” he said.
“There has been no further regulation regarding this interregnum, therefore, the logical thing is that when the presidency is assumed, the first act of government is the constitution of a cabinet to avoid nullity of presidential acts; however, logical and responsible behavior cannot be expected anymore,” he said.
