The Dominican Republic will participate as guest country of honor in version 42 of the Anato International Tourist Showcaseto be held from February 22 to 24, 2023, in Bogotá, Colombia.
Within the framework of the event, the Dominican authorities plan to promote Santiago as destination.
Upon arrival in Bogotá, the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, promised that he will make Heart City “shine” during the event.

Ramón Paulino, president of the entity, guaranteed that Santiago will deploy all its offer of tourist resources and attractions at the important international fair, in which the most representative actors of the sector’s value chain will meet in the GS 17 pavilion of the Corferias fairgrounds, in Bogotá.
He said that the presentation of the city in Anato 2023 represents the materialization of a dream of men and women who for years have been working hard to achieve this purpose.
“What it is about is the consummation of the vision, the mission and the objectives of the Santiago Tourist Clusterfor which we have worked for so long,” said Paulino.
He stressed that for the destination to be present at the event constitutes a huge international promotion opportunitya platform that will serve as the basis for publicizing its various tourism options through presentations focused on tour operators, travel agents and the press in general.
Honor guest
For the third time, the Dominican Republic will be the country guest of honor at the Anato International Tourism Showcase, considered the main tourism fair in Colombia, the first Latin American country and the fourth worldwide to send tourists to Quisqueya. It is organized by the Colombian Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies since 1981.
In 2022, Colombia received the visit of 88,139 Dominicans for tourism, events and trade purposes, while the Dominican Republic hosted for the first time the number of 293,564 Colombian touristsaccording to data from the Colombian Tourism Association and the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic, respectively.
