The Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes gave 48 hours for the Federal Highway Police (PRF) to present information on the police force deployed since October 28.
The decision was taken in the action in which the minister determined, on Monday (31), the total unblocking of federal highways that registered stoppages of truck drivers.
“I order the Federal Highway Police to document, within 48 hours, the evolution, by a federated entity, of the mobilized federal highway police force, in action and in ready employment, between October 28 to the present date. I also determine that any recruitments carried out for the second round of the 2022 elections be informed, and there must be details of the origin of the police officers, as well as where they were sent on mission”, decided the minister.
On Sunday (30), after the announcement of the victory of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva for the Presidency of the Republic, in the second round, groups of truck drivers started blockades in various parts of the country.
The PRF reported today that all federal highways are free of blockages. However, 11 partial bans remain. According to the corporation, 966 demonstrations have already been undone.
