Minister of the Interior: Sabotage in the IVSS fire is not ruled out

The Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace, Remigio Ceballos, warned that “sabotage is not ruled out” in the fire that started this Monday morning inside the facilities of the Venezuelan Institute of Social Security (IVSS), located in the industrial zone of Carapita, Antímano parish, Caracas.

“Thanks to the quick and timely action of the Fire Department, the fire in the MPPS warehouse in Antímano was extinguished, preventing its spread. It started the research phasesabotage is not ruled out, entering disaster teams from the CICIPC and FIREFIGHTERS”, the Minister wrote at 9:42 am this Monday on his Twitter account.

On the subject, General Carlos Pérez Ampueda, chief of civil protectionreported that during the suffocation of the flames, more than 50 officials from the National Risk Management System acted, who prevented the “spread of the fire.”

No deaths or injuries were reported during the incident.
