Images of Minister Federico González went viral on social networks, sharing a political lunch of the Republican Force movement, in full working hours.
This situation generated criticism of all kinds towards the minister, considering the acts of insecurity that currently affect our country.
In that sense, the index of insecurity is one of the main claims of citizens, and it is not for less because the statistics of the cases reported to the Police reflect alarming numbers.

A Middle Nation Research, Based on official data from the National Observatory for Citizen Security and Coexistence of the Ministry of the Interior, it indicates that from January to August 2022, a total of 34,231 punishable acts against property were reported. In other words, Paraguay has an average of 140 complaints per day, that is, an average of 5.87 cases of insecurity are closed per hour.
The report details that complaints of theft, aggravated robbery, robbery, aggravated robbery, theft of objects and theft or robbery of vehicles are typified as more frequent. The most reported events are thefts and aggravated robberies with a total of 22,022 complaints, followed by robberies and aggravated robberies (categorization given to assaults) with 7,846 complaints, the theft of objects that reached 2,837 and, finally, vehicle thefts that in total were 1,526.
In addition to the average of 6 incidents of insecurity per hour, when examining we see that there are 3.7 cases of theft every 60 minutes, and 1.3 of assaults every hour. If we talk about theft of objects, the average is practically 1 every two hours, and vehicle theft is one case every 4 hours.
The Observatory also details the hours in which punishable acts against property occur most frequently, divided into four time slots. 28.64% of robberies occur at dawn, 23.96% in the morning, 21.48% in the afternoon and 25.92% at night.
While if we analyze the red zones, the greatest punishable acts against property occur mainly in Asunción and Central. 41.9% of the cases of insecurity occur in the capital, while 37.6% in the eleventh department.

In the midst of this situation of insecurity that affects citizens, it is important to point out that despite the various changes that Abdo made in the Ministry of the Interior, this government has not yet been able to prepare a document to deal with the phenomenon of violence and crime from a multidisciplinary perspective, trying to study its multicausal origin and its complexities, as established in previous governments.
