He denied it again. The Minister of the Interior Juan José Santiváñez He assured this Monday that the audios attributed to him – where he talks with police officer Junior Izquierdo, nicknamed ‘Culebra’ – have been manipulated.
The head of the sector asked journalists “to take the trouble to listen to them and see how many times the audios are cut. The voice that they are trying to attribute to me today does not have even a slight resemblance. They are manipulated audios,” he insisted.
He also reiterated that there has been no expert opinion on the material disseminated in the media.
ABOUT THE DRIVER OF THE ‘COFRE’
At another time he responded to questions against Felix Montalvo Guevara, current driver of President Dina Boluarte, who not only keeps the secrets of the ‘chest’ or ‘Dinamóvil’ but is linked to the ‘Death Squad’ case, which was Discovered by the program ‘Mira qué Habla’ by the journalist and director of Perú21, Cecilia Valenzuela.
According to the file revealed by Panorama, Montalvo could be sentenced to up to 25 years in prison.
As you remember, the story of this unpunished crime begins on a stretch of Ramiro Prialé Avenue. Five people were murdered at the hands of bad police officers and, although it may seem incredible, the story of these deaths reaches non-commissioned officer Félix Montalvo, part of President Dina Boluarte’s most intimate security circle.
On the subject, Santiváñez appealed to point out that Peru is a country where the presumption of innocence must prevail and in that sense all the people involved in the case face processes that are being litigated: “As long as the Judiciary does not determine responsibilities (the involved) no one can restrict any right”.
The controversial minister did not delve into the issue.
PERPETUAL CHAIN FOR HITMAN AND EXTORTIONERS
Santiváñez announced that he is preparing a bill on urban terrorism.
He also presented to Congress a bill to establish life sentences for hitmen and extortionists who have been spreading terror in the country.
