Santo Domingo – The Minister of Interior and PoliceJesús-Chu-Vásquez, informed that the protests that are taking place in the country are being financed by important figures of the political opposition with the purpose of disturb the public peace in the Dominican Republic.

In statements offered to the national press, Vásquez revealed that these demonstrations do not seek social demands, but rather, according to intelligence reports, they seek to create a smoke screen to hide the acts of corruption of previous governments that the Dominican justice system is responsible for. facing up.

In this sense, the official highlighted the transparency and honesty in the management of resources during the current administration.

“The Dominican people are aware of the stability and the work of the government that is being carried out throughout the national territory,” he said.

He added that with income similar to that obtained in previous administrations, works are being carried out at all levels, throughout the national territory, responding to the fundamental needs of the Dominican people.
