Minister of the Environment assures that he will strengthen “monitoring” and preservation of “protected areas”

The Minister of Environment and Natural Resources, Armando Paíno Henríquez, said this Friday that his administration will focus on working to strengthen regulations and inspections of the sector, as well as promoting greater protection of protected areas.

“We must make greater efforts to monitor and implement important projects that are already on the agenda and are being worked on to improve our watersheds, reforestation plans and finish the project of everything that involves preserving protected areas,” said Paíno Henríquez.

In this regard, he called on the business and environmental sectors to work together to improve the natural resources of the Dominican Republic.

“Businesspeople and environmentalists must work together to strengthen and improve our natural resources,” he said.

Armando Paíno Henríquez, appointed by decree 434-24, was sworn in this afternoon by President Luis Abinader Corona in the Ambassadors Hall of the National Palace.
