The Minister of Labor, Luis Miguel De Camps, will represent the country in the celebration of the Dominican Week in the United States 2024, organized by the American Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic (Amchamdr).
Through a press release released this Saturday, it is explained that the presence of the official is part of the government’s initiatives to attract foreign investment to the country and the generation of new jobs.
De Camps will lead the discussion: “Application of North American standards and Launch of the Investor Guide of the American Chamber of Commerce” on Monday, September 30 at 4:00 p.m. on Georgetown Law Campus, Georgetown University of Washington DC.
- Also participating in the conversation will be Everett Eissentstat, partner at Squire Patton Boggs; William Malamud, executive vice president of Amchamdr; León Patiño, vice president of legal and international affairs at Palmcorp; and Álvaro Santos, faculty director of the Center for the Advancement of the Rule of Law in the Americas (CAROLA) at Georgetown Law.
Within the framework of the activitieswill take advantage of his visit to have meetings of interest for the portfolio he directs and also share experiences with prominent Dominicans in the United States, both in the cultural and economic spheres.

The document indicates that the Dominican Week is an Amchamdr initiative that plays a highly relevant role in promoting the Dominican market as a destination for investment, trade, and tourism and publicizing the country’s export offer of goods and services.
Also, this event is a space to formulate and channel efforts aimed at strengthening the associative spirit of the Dominicans.
