Background
In the explanatory memorandum of the project in question it is detailed that after the dismissal of Daniel Soria Luján as Attorney General of the State, on February 1, 2022, the consequences of such decision have generated “justified concerns” both with respect to the appointment of his substitute, as well as the actual validity of the guiding principles associated with the position.
In this regard, the document recalled that the decision was made by the Government a few weeks after Soria Luján filed a complaint against President Pedro Castillo, through a supreme resolution signed by the accused himself and the then Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Aníbal Torres.
