Minister of Health highlights the advances in infrastructure during the Cortizo government

The Minister of Health, Luis Franciaco Sucre, highlighted that during the Cortizo government, works abandoned by previous administrations have been launched, such as the new Children’s Hospital, Manuel Amador Guerrero in Colón, Health Centers and Police centers in the 15 regions of health throughout the country, listed Sucre.

He added that primary care has been strengthened, new equipment has been purchased and supplies have been provided to many Ministry of Health facilities throughout the country.

At the same time, Minister Sucre referred to the current epidemiological situation and stressed that the Ministry of Health is carrying out a multisectoral intervention in order to reduce the number of cases of dengue, malaria and other diseases.

Regarding influenza, he mentioned that according to the latest report there are 22 deaths, a figure that has been maintained since last Tuesday, but he stressed that this weekend both the Ministry of Health (Minsa) and the Social Security Fund (CSS) have a extra muros vaccination day throughout the country.

The minister reiterated that it is important that the population go to get vaccinated against influenza, Covid-19 and other vaccine-preventable diseases.

Regarding the situation of garbage collection in the capital city, he reported that this week he should meet with the mayor of San Miguelito to find a practical and quick solution to this issue.
