Gutiérrez thanked the firefighters for having acted in the IVSS warehouses to control the fire and said that Maduro ordered the immediate return of the supplies that were lost.
The Minister of Health, Magaly Gutiérrez, reported in her social networks that supplies for hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis programs were stored in the warehouse of the Venezuelan Institute of Social Security (IVSS) that caught fire on the morning of this Monday, August 15, which daily distributed supplies to care for more than seven thousand patients in all the country.
Several hours after the fire started in the IVSS warehouses in Antímano, Gutiérrez thanked via Twitter for the work of the firefighters to put out the fire and called on the population to remain calm and “not echo the rumours.”
Later, in another message, he said that the Venezuelan president, Nicolás Maduro, ordered that the supplies that were lost in the incident be replaced immediately to guarantee the care of kidney patients.

For its part, the IVSS also issued a statement to ratify what the minister said on social media. She makes reference that the contingency work did not leave human losses or injuries.

In the morning hours of this monday august 15, users on social networks reported a large-scale fire in the Antímano area, related to the IVSS warehouses that are in Carapa. The images published by several users on Twitter showed a large column of smoke rising from the site and visible from the early hours of the morning in several areas west of Caracas.
Hours after the arrival of firefighters and other rescue groups, the Minister of the Interior and Justice, Remigio Ceballos, reported that the fire had been put out and that an act of sabotage had not been ruled out, indicating that both the Cicpc and Fire officials with expertise in risk assessment were present at the scene to launch investigations.
