The current Minister of Environment, Susana Muhamad, presented her resignation to office and her departure will depend on the decision made by President Gustavo Petro in this regard.

This was known this Sunday, after the publication of an interview in the ‘Los Danieles’ space, in which Muhamad also referred to his statements in the Council of Ministers, aired live on national television this week, in which he criticized the Return of Armando Benedetti to the government.
“It is a difficult decision, obviously it is not about saying something as important as that and simply giving a door in a process where one is a public official, a state minister,”said.

“As a woman I cannot sit at this cabinet table with Armando Benedetti and I am not the one who will resign president, because I do not give up either the project or the government, but it is something that I have to say and express it too” “Muhamad said during the Council of Ministers.
