The Minister of Education, Victor Godoy, participates today (22) in the first day of commitments at the World Education Forum 2022, in London, UK. This Sunday’s agenda includes a meeting with Minister Roberto Doring, chargé d’affaires at the Brazilian Embassy in London, and Godoy’s reception at the event. According to information from the Ministry of Education (MEC), throughout the day the minister participates in meetings.
The objective of the meeting is to discuss the future of education, exploring themes for the improvement of world education, especially with the use of technology, innovation and sustainability.
Godoy will participate in panels that debate the development of education, in addition to giving a lecture on the construction of public policies for the educational system and how education plays an important role in the formation of citizens.
In addition, the minister will visit elementary and inclusive schools, universities, technical education centers and will have meetings with ministers from other countries and authorities that work with education at an international level.
During the entire agenda, which continues until May 27, the MEC delegation, made up of experts from the portfolio, will meet with representatives of the British government and with educational institutions in the country, as part of the bilateral cooperation commitment between Brazil and the United Kingdom. United.
In a note, the minister commented on the importance of the event, at this post-pandemic moment, in which schools resume the face-to-face teaching model.
“The participation of the Brazilian delegation here at the World Education Forum takes place at a symbolic moment for Brazilian education: in the year in which there was a return to the presence of school activities of basic education and in the month in which the President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro, will launch the National Apprenticeship Recovery Policy. This is a policy that operates on all axes of the recovery model presented by the World Bank and that already has several concrete initiatives implemented and others under implementation. These policies will not only aim at accelerating the learning lost during the pandemic, but at a very important aspect of innovation and technology for all Brazilian education,” said Godoy.
