Minister of Economy will participate in the World Bank meeting in Washington

He Executive power authorized the trip of the Minister of Economy and Finance, Raul Perez Reyesto the city of Washington DC, United States, to participate in the Annual Meetings of the Group of the World Bank (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which will be held from October 13 to 18.

The measure was authorized by Supreme Resolution No. 211-2025-PCM, published this Tuesday in the Official Gazette El Peruano. The journey will take place from October 14 to 18, 2025.

According to the government, the meetings, which bring together economic ministers, central bank presidents, business leaders and representatives of multilateral organizations, constitute a space of “utmost importance.”

“The participation of the minister in the aforementioned annual meetings makes it possible to address various crucial issues for the world economy, sustainable development and financial markets,” the resolution states.

The trip will be financed from the institutional budget of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, with a disbursement of US$ 9,338.93 for air tickets and US$ 2,200.00 in travel expenses. During the absence of Pérez Reyes, the office will be entrusted to the Minister of Energy and Mines, Jorge Luis Montero Cornejo.
