Minister of Economy loses his temper in Cusco when asked about Petroperú

José Arista

A new role from a member of the Executive. This time, the Minister of Economy, Jose Aristabecame upset and lost his temper when he was consulted about Petroperú during a visit to Cusco.

Journalist Carol Gonzales approached the head of the MEF and asked him: “Minister, what happened to Petroperú? Is it possible to steal from it for a little while?”

Given this, the official became angry and responded in the worst way. “Why are you so hateful and speaking lies?” The reporter is not intimidated and asks him again: What has happened to Petroperú, why do they continue to give it more money if it is no longer possible to solve a bankrupt company?”

Arista, visibly angry, told him: “Nothing happened,” and continued on his way.

This morning, Arista met with the regional governor of Cusco, Werner Salcedo. At the meeting, issues of budget cuts to regions were addressed.
