This Friday, the Minister of Economy, Marcelo Montenegroinstructed an audit of the seizure, Custody and disposal of confiscated goods from the last four operations by the National Customs and the National Strategic Public Company Bolivian Customs Warehouses (EPNE-DAB).

This determination It occurs within the framework of transparency and to exercise subsequent external control over Customs, according to the Ministry of Economy’s statement.

The audit will be carried out after a complaint was made theft of 260 grams of gold from the Customs Enclosure from La Paz, which is being investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the National Customs, the Prosecutor’s Office is investigating officials of this institution and of Bolivian Customs Warehouses.
