Minister Montes affirms that “it would be normal for there to be an evaluation” of the cabinet, after the constitutional plebiscite

Emphasizing that the final decision belongs to the President, the Minister of Housing and Urbanism, Carlos Montes (PS), referred to a possible cabinet change in the government of President Gabriel Boric, after the Exit Plebiscite of the proposed new Constitution.

“That will be decided by the President, but it will be normal after six months that there is an evaluation based on an event as significant as the plebiscite is going to be,” said Minister Montes, during the inauguration of the Madeco-Mademsa housing complex in the commune of San Joaquin.

The head of the Minvu also addressed the departure of Jeannette Vega from the Social Development portfolio after the “call” to Héctor Llaitul. “My personal feeling is a lot of pain, because I know very well the quality, conditions and strength that (former) minister Jeannette Vega puts into her work, but the President with all the background of the case has reached a conclusion and we support what what he has done,” he said.
