The Minister of the Interior, Izkia Siches, addressed the strike by groups of truck drivers in different parts of the country (such as in Arica, Paine, Calama and Rancagua). In this regard, he called for building “spaces for dialogue” and affirmed that the Undersecretary of the Interior, Manuel Monsalvewill lead those instances.
“We call on all transport unions to be able to join the work of our Government. The doors of this Government are open”, indicated the head of the Interior in a media reappearance, after she falsely accused a few weeks ago that in the second government of Sebastian Pinera a plane with expelled foreigners returned to the country with all its passengers.

“Since this affects all people on a daily basis, we make a new invitation: the doors of La Moneda are open, we can dialogue and talk about the different measures that are required, both in terms of security, as well as other demands,” added the Secretary of state.
“I have entrusted Manuel Monsalve to lead this work and I want to reiterate our invitation and the doors of La Moneda are open,” he continued.
“In this context, we make an invitation to open up to dialogue and participate, and Undersecretary Manuel Monsalve will continue to dialogue with the different entities that are available, we hope that the meetings can materialize soon,” he added.
