The future authority arrived by bicycle at the portfolio’s headquarters, located on Calle Agustinas. Also at the meeting were Christopher Pineda, future Deputy Secretary of Transportation, and Claudio Araya San Martin, future Undersecretary of Telecommunications.

Meanwhile, the future head of the Transportation portfolio said that they are “interested in knowing the status of the work that has been carried out.”
“For that we have also worked on a series of elements that seem especially important for us to know and that we have sent to the minister in advance,” he added.
Regarding the focuses that the next government has in the portfolio, Muñoz expressed that they hope to advance on issues of “efficiency, equity, better quality of life and sustainability.”
Given this, Hutt clarified that “there is a challenge that we fully share, which is also in the government program of the future President Boric which is to close gaps, both quality gaps in transport services, as well as gaps with the regions and digital connectivity gaps, that is what has not driven us”.
At the meeting, the current authority highlighted the progress made in its management, such as the renovation of trains, electromobility with the development of electrocorridors in regions, the award of fiber optic coverage, the deployment of the 5g network and connectivity in education.
“These are things that leave us with the feeling of having advanced a little, but the gaps are still large,” he concluded.
