The Minister of Transportation and Public Works, José Luis Falero, announced the advancement of the execution of the funds of the social agreements scheduled for 2023, during the signing of agreements to improve the facilities of Club Atlético Central, Club Atlético San Lorenzo and the San Jose social club. These agreements are part of the 2022 planning and will determine investments of about 9 million pesos.

The signing of the agreements took place this Friday the 2nd, at the San José Mayor’s Office, which was also attended by the mayor, Ana María Bentaberri; the national director of Architecture, Santiago Borsari, and directors of the institutions.

Through the policy of social agreements, the Ministry of Transport and Public Works (MTOP) provides financial support and technical advice to institutions throughout the country for repair and expansion of their infrastructures.

On this occasion, the beneficiaries are the Atlético Central and Atlético San Lorenzo soccer clubs, and the San José social club.

The agreement between the portfolio and these organizations will allow the allocation of 9,000,000 pesos, of the more than 15,000,000 necessary to cover the works. The remaining investment will be provided by each of the beneficiary entities.

The soccer institutions of the city of San José, Atlético San Lorenzo and Atlético Central, will receive support for the placement of a floating sports floor. The first will also benefit from the closure of access, and the concretion of the rainfall descents. Meanwhile, San Lorenzo will also be able to incorporate led lighting, and repair the changing rooms and the office.

Regarding the San José social club, the funds will be used to improve accessibility, such as electric platforms, ramps, a three-level elevator, accessible bathrooms, and the necessary accessories to achieve inclusive practice.

In addition, Falero reported at a press conference that the programs planned for 2023 were evaluated and, based on the result obtained, the ministry decided to advance the execution of the agreements to make effective use of the money available.

For this reason, the portfolio will sign agreements with institutions from various departments before the end of the year, whose execution was planned for 2023.
