The Minister of the Interior, Alfonso Chavarryconfirmed that he will attend the Congress of the Republic this Wednesday, May 11, to be questioned about various events and the development of his management.
From Piura, the head of the sector indicated that he will report on the work of the National Police (PNP) during the protest on April 5, as well as the strike of carriers in the Ica region.
“I have to attend to report the details and procedures that our National Police has carried out regarding the services deployed in the operations in the marches that took place in Lima on April 4 and 5, and also the events that occurred on the highway of Ica”he expressed.

On the other hand, the minister reiterated that the National Police continues to carry out follow-up work to proceed with the capture of Friar Vasquez Castillo Y Gian Marco Castillo Gomeznephews of the president peter castle.
“The Ministry of the Interior has arranged for the National Police to monitor, locate and try to capture these nephews and Bruno Pacheco, just as we have done with Los Dinámicos del Centro”he expressed.

Why will Chávarry be questioned?
As it is recalled, on May 3, by 82 votes in favor, 19 against and 11 abstentions, the Plenary approved the motion to question the head of the Interior, Alfonso Chavarrydue to various events and the development of its management.
Among them we have the social conflicts in the country, the strike of carriers and the mandatory social immobilization measure dictated by the government of the president peter castle last April 5.
In this way, Chávarry Estrada will appear before the Plenary on Wednesday, May 11 at 10:00 a.m., at the proposal of the Board of Directors, to answer a interpellatory sheet of 9 questions.
The motion states that the mandatory social immobilization of last April 5 generated protests, marches and claims from the population of Lima and Callao towards the Government, “Bringing as a consequence destruction to publicly owned real estate, looting and acts of vandalism that the National Police failed to prevent or raise in a timely and adequate Contingency Plan”.
In this sense, for the congressmen who signed the motion, “has been proven” that the National Police and the Interior sector “they have not had an ideal strategy” in the face of these events, which have left people dead, injured and damage to private property in Lima, Callao, Junín, La Libertad and other regions.
