The Minister of Labor and Employment Promotion, Alejandro Salas Zegarra, is carrying out activities this weekend in Tacna, where he will analyze the problem of informality in that region, will verify the control work carried out by SUNAFIL, and will participate in the closing of an intervention activity of Lurawi Peru and will witness the signing of agreements between the authorities of this MTPE program and municipalities.

The head of the MTPE will participate in meetings on the 26th to address the problem of informality in this region and the activities carried out by the Integrated Center Formalizes Peru (CIFP) in favor of labor formalization in this area of the country. Along these lines, he will hold meetings with the regional governor Juan Tonconi Quispe and the regional director of Labor, Eliana Vásquez.

It will also carry out activities related to strengthening and giving greater scope to the immediate intervention actions of Lurawi Peru (which provides temporary work for people belonging to vulnerable groups in the most remote areas of the country), with the support and synergy generated with the Regional Government of Tacna, and district governments in the area.

It will start the attention of the office of the National Program for Employability (PNPE), which plans to serve more than 2,500 people, improving their job skills and articulation for access to the job market.
Signing of agreement with GRT and municipalities
Alejandro Salas will also inspect the delivery of works resulting from immediate intervention actions by Lurawi Peru; and he will be present at the signing of agreements with the Regional Government of Tacna, National Country Program, with the Provincial Municipality of Tacna; and the district municipalities of Alto de la Alianza; New city; Pocoyay; and Gregorio Albarracin.

During his three-day stay, the minister will inform the public that his sector is vigilant, through SUNAFIL, an entity that permanently monitors compliance with social, labor and occupational health and safety regulations. , as well as to achieve the protection of integrity and avoid the imminent danger to the rights of workers. Salas Zegarra will also participate in the various activities that will be held for the 93rd anniversary of Tacna’s reincorporation into the country.
