The member of the ministerial cabinet was against the position taken by the National Executive Committee (CEN) of Somos Perú and pointed out that it has accepted it for democracy.
“There are decisions that the CEN wants to adopt that I do not understand. It seems unfair to me, but if democracy has these costs, my letter of resignation is already on the table. It was presented today at 5 in the afternoon”, he told the press.

In this sense, Salas Zegarra asserted that he does not consider that he is defending Pedro Castillo in a biased manner, since he maintained that he is supporting the rule of law and governability.
“Alberto Andrade pointed out that the best path for a country to modernize and develop is democracy. What they call a biased defense, I rather call it a defense of democracy, the rule of law, governability, the popular vote“, said.

Likewise, the head of the Ministry of Culture spoke about the expansion of the investigation into Pedro Castillo for criminal organization, which was arranged by the Nation’s prosecutor, Liz Patricia Benavides Vargas.
