The Minister of Foreign Relations, Alberto van Klaveren, revealed that “at the end of this week” he will meet with the foreign ministers of Venezuela, Yván Gil, and Bolivia, Rogelio Mayta, to address the current situation of the migration crisis and seek “formulas ” that allow to face it in a better way.

The foreign minister’s statements came after a secret session of the Northern Zone Crime Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, where he delved into the importance of reaching dialogues with the main countries related to the problem.

“We indicate our willingness to establish and deepen a dialogue with the two countries that are most relevant from the point of view of the migratory crisis; Venezuela, as the country of origin of a very important migratory flow; and Bolivia, our neighbor and a country of passage of this migratory flow”, pointed out Van Klaveren.

It should be remembered that the migratory crisis opened a new front last week for the Government of President Gabriel Boric, after the declarations of the governments of Bolivia and Venezuela, where they referred to the situation.
