Likewise, he pointed out that “during all that time, neither was investment in preventive medicine and the judicialization also began to cause problems.”
“People believe that the government came to kill the isapres and no: here there is a situation that has been prolonged and the negotiating table has tried to respond and we have to see how the situation continues,” he said.
Along the same lines, he declared that “the isapres are also with the idea of moving towards a reform of the health system”, but “what happens is that the proposal they have is to move towards a system in which there are different insurances that work with social security modality. Instead, “the government’s proposal, and that is in the program, is that there be public social health insurance and that the isapres become second-tier insurance,” he commented.
“It is in our interest that the three million affiliates of the isapres are not affected by the bankruptcy of the isapres,” he concluded.
