The National Union of Mining, Metallurgical, Steel and Similar Workers of the Mexican Republic, headed by Napoleón Gómez Urrutia, achieved a global salary increase of 13.14 percent with the company Desarrollos Mineros San Luis, which will benefit workers in section 270, in Mezcala, Guerrero.
As part of the review of the collective bargaining agreement (CCT) for the period 2021-2023, an 8 percent direct increase was agreed to the salary per man and for legal working hours, as well as 5.14 percent in benefits, such as paid days vacation, Christmas bonus, food payments, paid leave, life insurance, death aid, scholarships and school supplies.
The miners of section 270 forcefully approved and by personal, free, secret and direct vote the result of the negotiations with the foreign capital company dedicated to the extraction of gold, silver and copper, located in the municipality of Eduardo Neri, Warrior.
They also recognized the efforts of Gómez Urrutia for the commitment to seek better wages and working conditions for its members and to enforce the rights of the working class
as part of the new reform in the matter.
