The new minimum wage of R$1,621 begins to be paid to workers this Monday (2). The amount can be seen on the paycheck for January.
The adjustment of 6.79%, equivalent to R$103, was made official by the Decree 12,797/2025. The increase follows the policy of increasing the minimum wage, which combines inflation (INPC) and growth in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), respecting the limits of the fiscal framework, which restricts the adjustment to 2.5% above the previous year’s inflation.
You retirees and pensioners from the National Social Security Institute (INSS) began receiving the new minimum wage on the 26th. Payment continues until Friday (6), according to the final card number, without considering the check digit.
