MINERD mantiene suspensión de clases en San José de Ocoa y comunidades de Barahona

Santo Domingo. – He Ministry of Education (MINERD) reported that, despite the improvement in meteorological conditions after the passage of Hurricane Melissateaching will continue to be suspended in San José de Ocoa and in some communities of Barahonabecause these areas still present risks for the educational community.

The educational portfolio indicated that on the other hand, Teaching will resume this Monday in the provinces that were on red alert: Pedernales, Independencia and Bahorucoafter the evaluation of the Emergency Operations Center (COE) and the reduction of alert levels.

The MINERD highlighted that the priority is to guarantee the safety of students, teachers and administrative staff, reaffirming its commitment to the continuity of the educational process.
