He Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic (minerd) reiterated this Friday his categorical rejection to any form of aggression in the country’s educational centers and expressed solidarity with teacher Naony Anderson Solano, who was attacked by two students.
Through a press releasethe institution reaffirmed its commitment to personnel protection educational and construction safe school environmentsharmonious and free of violence.
He minerd was pronounced after a incident happened yesterday in Juan Pablo Duarte educational centerlocated in the Villa Consuelo sector, in the National District, where the teacher was attacked by two students between 16 and 17 years old.
He indicated that, as soon as he became aware of the situation, the authorities they activated the corresponding protocolsprovided support to the affected personnel and coordinated actions with the competent organizations and the families involvedin accordance with the due process established in current regulations.
The educational portfolio recalled that the school It must be a space of respect, dialogue and training in values, and maintained that conflicts must be addressed through institutional mechanisms of coexistence, school mediation and socio-emotional orientation, strengthening co-responsibility between school and family.

Attacked with chairs and stones
He Professor Solanowho teaches Modern Languages at the educational center, reported that it was attacked with chairsstones and even with a strap on the back.
The teacher suffered blows to the face and nose. He stated that he had never had problems with students involved and that there was no prior discussion before the attack.
