Santo Domingo.— The Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic (Minerd) reminded the educational community that the second class period of the 2025-2026 School Year will start this Tuesday January 6 in all educational centers in the country, in accordance with what is established in the current school calendar.
The institution urged fathers, mothers and guardians to guarantee the attendance and punctuality of students, both in the public and private sectors, from the first day of resuming teaching.
Minerd highlighted that each hour of class is essential to strengthen learning, reduce educational gaps and move towards higher quality education.

Likewise, he reiterated that the joint commitment of families, teachers and educational authorities is key to ensuring the full use of school time during this second stage of the school year.
