The Ministry of Mines and Energy confirmed this Tuesday that adjustments in managerial and coordination positions of the Vice Ministry of Energy. It should be remembered that a Portfolio source had confirmed that changes were being prepared within the portfolio, which included the departure of Vice Minister Belizza Ruiz, due to disagreements with Minister Irene Vélez.

The portfolio did not deny this information, in fact it pointed out that “As part of the adjustment processes defined to accelerate the energy transition and achieve the design of its Roadmap, adjustments are being made in some positions“.
Additionally, the Ministry reported that it seeks that the work team is aligned both in methodologies and goals “Regarding lowering energy rates, the creation of energy communities, the presentation and implementation of the Energy Transition Roadmap, and the promotion of Latin American energy integration.”

The Ministry told Portafolio that the deputy minister would not be declared non-existent, as some sources had pointed out to this medium. Despite this, they did not deny that the conditions for his departure are being met.
