The Ministry of Education (Mined), during this enrollment process – which began in public schools on October 14 and will last until November 29 – issued a new order to the country’s private schools, as confirmed to Article 66 private school tutors.
The order establishes that those responsible for each student, who studies in these private centers, confirm to the Mined – by filling out an obituary – their enrollment in those private educational centers.
The “enrollment confirmation document 2025-Continuity in the same center”, sent by the Mined to each tutor of a private school student, asks parents for information such as the student’s full name, student code, modality, shift and grade in the one who will enroll for the 2025 school year.

Also, request the guardian’s full name, confirmation of whether “your child will continue in this educational center” and signature.
Parents of students who have attended more than five years of school in private schools in the country claim that this is the first time they have received an obituary of this type, sent directly by the Mined.
They explained that usually they only have to pre-register, pay the fee established in the schools they choose to enroll their children to reserve the space and then register, plus the payment of other fees, at the beginning of the year.
In each obituary sent by the Mined, private schools must also include the unique code of the center, name of the educational center, signature and seal of the director.
Mined projects enrollment of more than 1.8 million students
The Ortega member Juan Salvador Méndez, of the Mined Board of Directors, in official media indicated that they project an enrollment of more than 1,800,000 students for this 2025 school year.
He stated that for now the development of this process has been greatly welcomed by the population, which has “overflowed” into the country’s public centers.
In some public schools in District Three, according to the Mined, 100 percent enrollment has already been reached, although they report that no student will be left without places.

It is worth mentioning that independent media have reported complaints from tutors who claim that public schools in District Three have denied enrollment, as they place minors on waiting lists and agree to “notify” them if a spot becomes available.
Méndez said that, in addition to the traditional registration process, which includes filling out an obituary that each student’s tutor must complete, they have enabled online registration.
These online registrations, according to the Mined, are enabled on the platform found at the following link: https://serviciosenlinea.mined.gob.ni/. In this, users must fill out a registration, in which they are asked for their identity card number, full name and email, and will later receive their username and temporary password, which they can then personalize via email.
