The Minister of Defense demanded the immediate release of the patrol vehicle kidnapped by FARC dissidents when it was traveling to Popayán.

The Minister of Defense, Pedro Sánchez, joined the voices of rejection of the kidnapping of the Police patrolman, Jarold Luis Ricardo Martínez, in events that occurred between Huila and Cauca.

That is why Minister Pedro Sánchez pointed out that “I express my indignation and absolute rejection of the kidnapping of our patrolman Jarol Luis Ricardo Martínezwho He traveled to Popayán to meet his son when he was kidnapped in a state of total defenselessness, between Cauca and Huila, by the dissidents of the alias Mordisco cartel.”

The minister also sent a message of solidarity to the family and friends of the patrolman, while emphasizing that “we will use all avenues until we achieve his safe return.”
For its part, the National Police clarified that “An interdisciplinary team was available to comprehensively care for the official’s family.”
