Mindef Supervises Use of fuel in Armed Forces in four regions of the country

The Ministry of Defense (Mindef), through the General Directorate of Material Resources (DGRMM), made supervision visits in various military facilities in Arequipa, Tacna, Junín and Piura, to verify the proper use of the fuel assigned to the Armed Forces.

The purpose is to guarantee the correct distribution and use of assigned fuel. The action was carried out in random selected establishments to demonstrate compliance with the new guidelines.

Among the guidelines, it includes the progressive implementation of a Automated control system which will cover all stages of the logistics process; From the office in authorized plants to the delivery in the military units. This tool will be connected to the Order Order Control System (SCOP), allowing a complete traceability of each operation.

In addition, strategic facilities must have a video surveillance system in order to identify vehicles and people involved in the delivery and reception of fuel. Audiovisual records will be preserved quarterly as a measure of support and control.

For its part, the General Inspectors of each armed institute will carry out periodic controlsboth scheduled and unexpected.
