At least eight luxury vibrators, some plated with 24-carat gold, were stolen from Spanish sex toy wholesaler Dreamlove, the company announced, adding that they have valued the theft at tens of thousands of euros.
Idiared Aponte, who works at the warehouse on the outskirts of Seville (southern Spain), explained to the AFP news agency that the thieves entered the premises shortly before midnight last Wednesday, and that they directly sought the luxury line of premium vibrators, including a gold-plated version whose retail value is “15,000 to 16,000 euros.”
“They were searching until they found the security zone and they found gold-plated items and a substantial sum of cash,” said Aponte, who specified that they took “at least seven to eight,” of which two “they are of steel and the rest of gold”.
Regarding the steel version, he stated that it can cost “about 3,500, 5,000 or 7,000 euros, depending on its size.”
they also took 25,000 euros in cash that they were kept in the safe of the warehouse, located in an industrial estate 10 kilometers east of Seville.
On its website, available in six languages, Dreamlove defines itself as a “wholesale of erotic articles” company, with more than 20,000 products for sale.
